Dear   Journal,            Date: 1860

I went west for gold after the California gold rush. It was a very long journey down cali trail. It took over 6 months! Mostly because we road there on wagon trains, and man after I got there San Francisco was a boomtown in 1857 their were only about 800 people and 10 years later their were about 50,00 people! Life here is great know that I got all of this gold. It  is mighty fine being a pioneer. Although the trip was long,I am here now and very happy, and ha the travel was never ever easy. Also now since people came here for gold they  left so many places to be ghost  towns now. But at least them and their family’s are much more happier than they were back in those small towns, well got to go time for dinner.
